Cedar Park has agreed to economic incentives for two manufacturers who plan to spend over $40 million on their prospective businesses.
Community Impact reports Machine Sciences Corporation is an Oregon-based company with existing operations in Florida that specializes in manufacturing complex, high-precision components for space, aerospace and defense industries. That includes parts for satellites, unmanned aerial vehicles and advanced defense systems. The city will pay the company $1 million if they spend $32 million at a Cedar Park facility by 2034 and hires 70 workers.
Elite Metal Finishing provides services like chemical processing and plating, painting, non-destructive testing and parts marking for commercial, military and aerospace companies. Cedar Park will pay Elite Metal Finishing $750,000 if it spends $10 million and hires 170 employees.
Both companies will lease space at the Cedar Tech I development near the northern border of Cedar Park.
