The Samsung Galaxy S26 series could actually get a price bump next month. The information comes from Korea, from the Hans Economy publication. Every phone in the series will allegedly get more expensive.
The Galaxy S26 series could get more expensive starting next month
This is said to happen on October 1. RAMageddon, as it’s often called, is causing price bumps across the industry, and it seems like Samsung will be forced to do the same. In other words, component costs are pushing Samsung to do this.
Do note that the publication mentions a price bump in Korea. We’re not sure if the same will happen in other markets. However, such moves are usually adopted by other markets. We’ll see.
When it comes to Korea, all three models will get the same price bump of KRW 149,600 ($111). The Galaxy S26 will jump from KRW 1,254,000 ($934) to KRW 1,403,600 ($1,046).
The Galaxy S26+ will move from KRW 1,452,000 ($1,082) to KRW 1,601,600 ($1,194), while the Galaxy S26 Ultra will jump from KRW 1,797,400 ($1,340) to KRW 1,947,000 ($1,451).
This was expected… kind of
This move, no matter how annoying it may be, was somewhat expected. A lot of companies did the same, and the same goes for Apple. The new iPhones are more expensive than the previous ones, and price hikes have been announced for existing iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches.
Do note that if the price bump ends up happening for the Galaxy S26 in other markets, it may be different than what we’re seeing in Korea, of course. The price bump could be even higher in other markets.
For the time being, not even this has been confirmed, so we’ll just have to wait and see what will happen. It will also be interesting to see how much will models with higher storage options end up costing.
