At the heart of the platform sits the Exo-Belt. This central hub houses the main battery system, onboard processing units, and primary control algorithms. Rather than wrapping your entire lower body in fixed metal and carbon fiber, Ascentiz uses a quick-release MOLLE-style attachment mechanism called AZ-Lock. Linked via a high-speed CAN-FD communication architecture, wearers can snap on individual joint modules in seconds depending on their route.
You can attach the Ascentiz-H hip module to generate forward propulsion during steep trail climbs, click on the Ascentiz-K knee module to absorb heavy impact during downhill descents, or combine both into an H+K setup for maximum full-leg relief.
Real-time BodyOS coordination and an open developer ecosystem
Managing multiple motorized joints on the same body requires serious software coordination. Ascentiz solves this with BodyOS, an intelligent software foundation that monitors user movements in real time to adjust motor torque dynamically. When running the combined hip and knee setup, BodyOS ensures all motors synchronize seamlessly. This makes the hardware feel like a natural extension of your muscles rather than two competing gadgets attached to your legs.
Ascentiz is also opening up its platform to outside innovation. A DevKit hardware and firmware invites third-party developers, researchers, and accessory makers to build custom software modes and hardware attachments on top of BodyOS. Full SDK and API access will land later this fall.
Standalone modules start at €1,599 for the H Pro and scale up to complete combo packages at €3,999. Despite the whooping price, Ascentiz provides a practical, future-proof solution for hikers, outdoor workers, and mobility enthusiasts alike.
