Of all the devices revealed at IFA 2026 this past week, one that particularly caught our eye for its gaming functionality was the ELO Sentinel, a pair of XR glasses made specifically for gaming on a virtual big screen and enhancing the gaming experience. We’ve seen these types of glasses before but the ELO Sentinel looks like a very promising option if gaming is your number one priority with a pair of these.
The ELO Sentinel promises to deliver lots of great features, such as 120Hz refresh rate displays for each eye, a very bright 5,000 nits of peak brightness, and Full HD resolution for a pair of Sony OLED panels. One thing that we really love and are intrigued about though, is the platform compatibility.
The ELO Sentinel promises to work with the Nintendo Switch 2
One of the biggest questions that gamers will have with the ELO Sentinel is what platforms does it work with? What game systems will I be able to connect it with? As it turns out, the ELO Sentinel promises to work with the Nintendo Switch 2. So far, this is something that hasn’t worked with other glasses we’ve tried, and that makes the Sentinel unique and quite exciting, especially for Switch 2 fans who are going to want a bigger screen to play on.
The Sentinel glasses will also work with PS5, PC, Netflix, Steam Deck, and cloud gaming according to the website. For cloud gaming specifically, it works with GeForce NOW, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Amazon Luna, and Shadow. And if you prefer remote play, it supports PS Remote Play, Steam Link, Parsec, Xbox, and Moonlight Game Streaming.
The Sentinel are also competitively priced, and they provide a screen size of up to 200 inches, with 3DoF and directional surround sound for a truly immersive gaming session.
