In addition to announcing a bunch of new smartwatches at IFA 2026, Huawei has also announced a new mid-range smartphone, truly wireless earbuds, and a flagship tablet. We’ll talk more about those in a minute.
Let’s first say that Huawei’s smartwatches are actually its flagship offerings. The Huawei Watch GT 7 series arrived, along with the Huawei Watch 6 series. On top of that, the blood pressure monitor smartwatch, the Huawei Watch D3, landed too.
The Huawei Nova 16s series delivers true-to-color photography in mid-range phones
With that being said, let’s focus on the new products, shall we? The Huawei Nova 16s series was announced, the company’s new mid-range smartphones. Huawei says that these phones focus on outdoor photography and true-to-color imaging.
The flagship Huawei Nova 16s Pro includes a 200MP RYYB “ultra-large sensor” main camera, nd there’s a 1.5MP multispectral sensor included on both the front and back of the device, for color accuracy.
The Huawei Nova 16s includes a high-definition 50MP ultra-portrait camera, says Huawei. This one also has a “professional true-to-color camera setup.”
The flagship model is only 7.1mm thick, and it weighs 218 grams. Isle Blue, Breathing Crystal, Starry Black, and Sky White colors are on offer. The flagship model has a 6.84-inch display, while the base variant includes a 6.68-inch panel.
The Nova 16s Pro includes a 7,000mAh ‘Super Battery’, and supports 100W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo charging.
The Huawei FreeBuds Neo are the new TWS earbuds with cut-off stems
The Huawei FreeBuds Neo are the company’s new truly wireless earbuds. These earbuds come in an egg-shaped case, and their stems are cut off. The ‘Neo’ name refers to New Energy On, says Huawei.
The earbuds come in Silver, Pink, Black, and White colors. The earbuds measure 23.2 x 21.56 x 24.56mm, while the case’s dimensions are: 41.22 x 68.35 x 25.57mm.
Each earbud weighs 4.8 grams and offers an intuitive touch operation with a 60% touch area. Huawei used a third-gen audio chip and advanced adaptive algorithms to help the earbuds capture ambient noise up ot 400,000 per second with improved noise processing and latency.
FreeBuds Neo earbuds have three microphones and a bone-conducting microphone as well. The company also used a new Turbo driver unit with a lightweight and rigid diaphragm. These earbuds also support LDAC HD audio at up to 990kbps.
These offer up to 40 hours of playback time with the charging case. When the ANC is off, each earbud can run for 10 hours, while that goes down to 6.5 hours with ANC on. These are priced at €109.
Huawei also has a new flagship tablet to offer
The flagship tablet that Huawei announced is the MatePad Pro 12-inch. That is a 12-inch tablet with a 3K display, and it’s only 4.7mm thick. It also includes a large battery and much more.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 12-inch weighs 454 grams thanks to the company’s new Cloud Falcon Architecture. It uses a reinforced structure that increases bend resistance by 50%, and a full-metal unibody design.
A 12-inch OLED display sits on the front with a full-view experience. It has a 93% screen-to-body ratio and tiny 3.55mm ultra-thin bezels on all sides. A 3K display resolution (3036 x 1952 pixels) is also on offer here.
The tablet’s display goes up to 1,600 nits, and it can provide 1.07 billion colors and a P3 wide color gamut. The refresh rate here is 144Hz, by the way. Huawei is also offering a PaperMatte Display.
You’ll be able to recharge a 10,400mAh battery with a 66W charger, and it can be fully charged in about 53 minutes. The tablet also offers reverse charging at 40W.
A 50-megapixel camera sits on the back with an f/1.8 aperture lens. A 12-megapixel camera is included on the front with an f/2.4 aperture lens. There are tons of productivity features included here, and the tablet supports Huawei’s stylus.
