ShiftCam has come to Berlin to announce its new X.Series SuperZoom Lenses, which bring 350mm-class optical reach to mobile photography.
The X.Series brings a new family of 2x and 3.5x SuperZoom telephoto lenses, which the company says are “engineered to maximize the telephoto capabilities of smartphones equipped with periscope cameras.” This now extends ShiftCam’s portfolio into 200mm and 3500mm telephoto perspectives. Allowing users to get dramatically closer using optical reach than ever before.
ShiftCam says that their goal “is to give more people the tools to capture what they see and imagine, without requiring them to become photography experts first.”
These new lenses will be available from September 8th, with the 2x SuperZoom Telephoto lens costing $269.90, and the 3.5x SuperZoom Telephoto Lens costing $369.90.
ShiftCam debuts its own app for iOS
Also debuting at IFA is ShiftCam’s new One app. This app is currently only for iOS, but it lets users use their ShiftCam gear for the camera experience, so you can spend less time on technical setup and more time shooting.
The app also uses on-device AI to provide creative options for composition, lighting, crops, tones, and styles. The app also brings the broader ownership of ShiftCam lenses into one place, with lens-sorted albums and vibe search, gear management and tutorials, product registration, and warranty support.
Finally, at IFA, ShiftCam is also giving everyone a first look at its redesigned ProRig. The company says that this is a “more agile and intuitive mobile filmmaking system scheduled to launch in Fall 2026.” It has a new 4-corner architecture that keeps the phone’s edges and back open for direct access to buttons, USB-C, and MagSafe.
ShiftCam says that the ProRig is “designed to evolve with the creator’s phone, ProRig pairs a recycled aluminum frame with replaceable model-specific bumper inserts, allowing users to upgrade their phone without replacing the entire rig.”
