Developers behind a proposed 19-story Disney Springs-area hotel now want to convert it into a timeshare property. The latest news is a significant change of plans for MB Properties. ConnectCRE recently reported on the company announcing the beginning of construction for the hotel. The firm previously announced a 2026 groundbreaking and a 2028 opening.
The company now wants 199 timeshare units on the property instead of the hotel rooms. The Orlando Business Journal reports MB Signature Properties asked the Orange County development review committee to approve the significant change on the project.Â
MB Resort’s units will be two-bedroom, two-bath suites with kitchens to accommodate up to six guests. The most common unit configuration for timeshare properties is two bedrooms (60%), followed by one bedroom (22%), three or more bedrooms (10%) and studios (8%).Â
Amenities will include a spa, rooftop bar and restaurant, plus a fire pit area, splash park and poo.Â
