Front Street Capital is pursuing an 850-acre master-planned industrial park in the city of Lexington. The city annexed the land to accommodate the project, but it still needs to create and approve zoning for the project.
The Triad Business Journal reports Front Street’s current concept for the park includes 15 parcels ranging in size from 11 acres to 153 acres. The site offers potential for around 8.4 million square feet of industrial space, with buildings ranging from 80,000 to 2 million square feet.
The project is designed to accommodate advanced manufacturing, logistics firms and corporate campuses that have multiple buildings. The property’s close access to I-85 and Norfolk Southern rail lines.
Front Street is also partnering with other investors on The Grounds mixed-use development in Winston-Salem. The $250 million first phase will have a student apartment complex, a 135,000-square-foot office building and a 42,000-square-foot retail village.
