Sony’s upcoming WH-1000XM4C headphones, which are the company’s re-release of the popular WH-1000XM4 and a cheaper alternative to the WH-1000XM6, have just shown up in a series of images that showcase the design, and the leak contains some of the specs as well. This is all ahead of Sony’s announcement for the new audio gear which is suspected to happen in the very near future.
This also isn’t the first leak for these headphones. The Sony WH-1000XM4C popped up back on August 6. There wasn’t much detail on the headphones at the time other than the fact that they were a refresh and that they would have some differences from the original pair. Now, a new leak has surfaced that gives significantly more information on what to expect with this new pair of headphones. This includes the full design of the headphones along with their respective colors, and some of the specs and features that will be offered.
The Sony WH-1000XM4C specs include Bluetooth 6.0 support, with the design mostly unchanged
While the leaked information doesn’t include every specification and every feature, there are a few mentions. There are also a few images included that showcase Sony’s decision to keep the design essentially unchanged, save for a very minor detail or two. Sony will also be releasing the WH-1000XM4C in three different colors according to the images, which includes black, white, and a form of light purple.
As for the specs, the leaks state that these headphones will support Bluetooth 6.0, but it’s also mentioned that the NFC logo has been removed from the ear cup where it is on the older model. ANC is said to still be included but also that battery life has taken a hit. Battery life is now said to be down to 27 hours with ANC on, and 34 hours with ANC off. For comparison, the older model was at 30 and 38 hours, respectively.
