Hyundai is the latest pickup-truck maker to try out a strange new tailgate. At least that’s what the patent the CarBuzz research team has dug up suggests. The new invention has a swing-out hinged gate that’s not quite like anybody else’s, and it promises to help add some flexibility to the company’s next truck.
