If you’re active on Meta’s Threads app and use a Quest VR headset, you’ll be glad to know that the tech giant has launched a dedicated Threads app for Quest. This comes after Meta brought the app to its Ray-Ban Display AR glasses last month. Threads recently crossed the 500 million monthly active users milestone.
Threads arrives on Meta Quest as a native VR app
The app is now available as a native VR app on Meta Quest. By bringing Threads to Quest, Meta aims to create a more connected experience. This will allow users to stay connected with their communities while playing games or watching content. With the Threads VR app, users can browse feeds in a layout that’s optimized for Meta Quest. They can use controllers or hand tracking to navigate and refresh.
Additionally, users can discover conversations, interact with posts (like, reply, repost, share, and quote), start or reply to posts, visit profiles, search for and watch videos, and manage app settings.
Compose hands-free
Users can also track likes, mentions, and new followers in Activity. They can check Trending Now to see what people are talking about and refine their feed with features like block, report, mute, restrict, and “not interested.” They can also compose posts completely hands-free with voice dictation.
