The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL was announced earlier today alongside three other Pixel 11 phones and a couple of other devices. The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL does have similar camera hardware to its predecessor, but it also packs a ton of camera features.
Before we get to the features themselves, let’s go over the camera hardware first. The phone is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor size. There is also a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 1/2.55-inch sensor size, and a 48-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.95-inch sensor size.
The only notable improvement, hardware-wise, is that periscope telephoto camera, as it comes with a larger sensor than was available on the Pixel 10 Pro XL. The rest of the specs are more or less the same; that includes a 42-megapixel selfie camera as well.

Now, when it comes to camera features. Do note that the phone offers both OIS and EIS stabilization on the main and telephoto cameras, along with spectral and flicker sensors. Google also included a multi-zone LDAF (Laser Detect Auto Focus) sensor.
Google also claims you can get optical quality at 0.5, 1x, 2x, 5x, and 10x zoom ranges. Speaking of which, the zoom goes up to 120x. Google refers to it as ‘Pro Zoom’.
The company relies on camera software quite heavily; that’s not a surprise. This phone is packed with camera features such as Magic Capture, Pro controls, High-Res (50MP photos), Pro Zoom (120x zoom), Camera Coach, and more.
Astrophotography is back, and 8K video recording is supported as well
Yes, Astrophotography has also made a comeback here, while you also get Face Unblur, Action Pan, Real Tone, Panorama, Top Shot, and a ton of other features.
8K video recording is available here as well, at 24/30 FPS (powered by Video Boost). 4K video recording is available at 24, 30, and 60 FPS, while the same goes for fullHD video recording. Super Res Zoom Video goes up to 20x.
