Google unveiled its newest flagship lineup today at the annual Made by Google event. The standard Google Pixel 11 is official alongside its higher-end Pro counterparts. Pre-orders for the new smartphone opened immediately following the keynote address and will run through August 19. The official Google Pixel 11 release date is set for August 20, marking a swift turnaround between announcement and store launch.
Pre-orders, storage tiers, and RAM configurations
Pre-orders placed before August 20 will receive the first shipments before they are available in stores and from major carriers.
For storage options, the base Pixel 11 comes in two configurations: 256GB and 512GB. Both variants ship standard with 12GB of RAM to maintain fluid performance. Unlike the pricier Pro models in the family, there are no 16GB RAM or 1TB storage choices available for the base tier.
Performance upgrades and hardware highlights
Despite keeping a similar exterior design, the Pixel 11 brings some key under-the-hood improvements. Powering the smartphone is Google’s new Tensor G6 chip paired with an updated Titan M4 security coprocessor for enhanced device protection.
The triple rear camera system gets a sweet upgrade with a much larger 48MP main sensor that has an f/1.7 aperture, Quad PD and OIS. This is accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide lens with a 120-degree field of view and a 10.8MP telephoto camera delivering 5x optical zoom. While the secondary sensors retain previous hardware, improved processing from the Tensor G6 chip boosts overall photo quality.
Display and battery improvements
The phone features a compact 6.3-inch display protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It delivers up to 2,000 nits of HDR brightness and tops out at 3,000 nits of peak brightness.
Keeping everything running is a 4,985mAh battery that supports 30W wired fast charging and upgraded 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging—a welcome jump over last year’s 15W wireless speeds. With pre-orders live through August 19, buyers do not have long to wait before the Pixel 11 officially arrives on August 20.
