The ASUS Googlebook surfaced twice thus far, while the latest leak arrived earlier today with 14 images in tow. We also leaked the Lenovo Googlebook exclusively a couple of days ago. Well, the Lenovo Googlebook just appeared in some new images.
Before we get to it, it’s worth noting that the ASUS Googlebook and Lenovo Googlebook will be amongst the first Googlebooks ever. They’re replacing Chromebooks, and the OS will combine Chrome OS and Android. It’s codenamed Aluminum OS.
The Lenovo Googlebook appears in new images
Having said that, let’s check out the images that digitalcitizen shared. You can see all five of them in the gallery below. You’ll notice that the device has a glowbar on its lid, much like the ASUS Googlebook.
We’re still not sure how that glowbar will function, but many are guessing it will be similar to the HiLight on Google’s Pixel 11 devices. Considering that this glowbar is on both of these Googlebooks, we’re guessing that every Googlebook will have one.
Speaking of which, ASUS and Lenovo will be in the first wave of Googlebook devices, along with Acer, Dell, and HP. The Lenovo Googlebook will probably arrive during IFA, as is the case with the ASUS Googlebook.
The color here seems to be light gray / dirty white, and the device seems to be quite thin, and we’re guessing very light as well, similar to what ASUS will offer with its first Googlebook.
It has a full set of ports
There are also quite a few ports on offer here, including an HDMI port, two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, and a headphone jack. That’s not bad considering the slim profile here, not at all.
There are still a lot of question marks when it comes to the OS that will be utilized by Googlebooks. It will be a very important factor when it comes to the usability of these devices, along with their price tags, of course.
