CBL Properties and Greystar broke ground on a mixed-use development at CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin, Tennessee.Â
The project will bring 361 residences and approximately 15,000 square feet of new retail and restaurants to the CoolSprings Galleria campus.
In June, CBL announced it had sold a 5.35-acre parcel of underutilized parking to Greystar to make way for this development. The project is expected to take two years to complete.
The groundbreaking of the Greystar project goes along with the recent opening of Tennessee’s first L.L.Bean store and the announcement of the new DICK’S House of Sports, which will open in 2028 in the JCPenney store location.
CBL’s owned and managed portfolio is comprised of 88 properties totaling 55.6 million square feet across 23 states, including 55 high-quality enclosed malls, outlet centers and lifestyle retail centers as well as more than 25 open-air centers and other assets.Â
