Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Fit 4 has just been spotted in documentation, adding credence to rumors that it’s launching later this year. This is the successor to the very popular Galaxy Fit 3 that launched two years ago in some markets.
The model number is SM-R391 and is designated as “FIT4” in some documents, according to Android Authority, which shared a look at the back of the device. There’s not a lot to see here other than the sensors being used for tracking your health.
The new wearable does support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and it likely uses the Goodix GH3036 sensor module, which is an integrated optical heart rate and PPG health-monitoring chip designed specifically for low-power wearables. This would help make the battery last even longer.
This leak doesn’t tell us whether Samsung will add highly-requested features like built-in GPS and NFC payments. But this does tell us that it won’t be a competitor to the Fitbit Air or Garmin Cirqa. It will still boast a screen.
When will the Galaxy Fit 4 launch?
While we don’t have a specific date just yet, we do expect that the Galaxy Fit 4 will launch this Fall. There are quite a few other Samsung products launching this Fall, including the Galaxy Tab S12 series, Intelligent Eyewear, Galaxy S26 FE, and more.
It’s worth noting that the Galaxy Fit 3 wasn’t announced at an event. It was simply a press release late in 2024. It also didn’t launch in most of Samsung’s most popular markets. It initially launched in select markets in Asia, Europe, and Latin America/Central and South America. It later launched in the US in early 2025. Fingers crossed that Samsung does launch this one more widely than the previous Galaxy Fit 4, especially with the popularity of less connected smartwatches these days.
