A new Nissan Xterra is due to roll into showrooms in 2028 to take on rugged body-on-frame SUVs like the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler, but it may not be the only storied Nissan SUV headed back to America. In fact, another legendary nameplate could be poised for a return after an absence stretching back more than half a century.
