Just in time for its 30th anniversary later this month, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will reportedly open seven new restaurants and reopen four remodeled locations in August.
Two new stores are set to open today, Monday, August 3, 2026: one in Novi, Michigan, and another in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, USA Today first reported.
The remaining new locations will open throughout the month. The chicken finger chain opened its first location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, near Louisiana State University, on August 28, 1996.
“August is a meaningful month for Raising Cane’s as we celebrate our 30th birthday and reflect on how far we’ve come since opening our first Restaurant in 1996,” the company said in a statement to USA Today.
The chicken chain is rapidly expanding
The fast food brand has been growing quickly. In March, it celebrated its 1,000th store with the opening of a new location at 6933 Hollywood Blvd., along the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Raising Cane’s opened seven new stores and reopened two others in May, then added 12 more stores and two re-openings in June.
Last month, five new stores opened, and three others reopened.
The company has outlined a goal of operating more than 1,600 restaurants in the United States and becoming a top 10 U.S. restaurant brand by the end of the decade.
Chicken chains have been especially popular with Gen Z and millennials who are drawn to protein-focused menus.
Known for its crispy chicken tenders, tangy sauce, and limited menu, Raising Cane’s has attracted a cult-like following among its fans, who call themselves “Caniacs.”
