Samsung has sort of confirmed that the Galaxy S26 FE is coming very soon. According to Android Authority, which had a pre-Unpacked briefing with Samsung South Africa last week, the company pretty much confirmed that the Galaxy S26 FE is coming.
Samsung South Africa executive Justin Hume was asked about a Galaxy S26 FE coming, to which he replied, “I can’t confirm that, but I would say watch this space in a few days’ time,” before later clarifying that it was “weeks” away.
Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 FE at IFA, which is the same sort of launch window we are expecting to see this time around. IFA is scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany, from September 4 through September 8. Media Days are September 2nd and 3rd, meaning that the Galaxy S26 FE could be announced on September 3rd. Though it is worth noting that Samsung is currently not listed as having a press conference on IFA’s website. That could change, however.
Galaxy S26 FE will be Samsung’s ‘affordable’ flagship for 2026
The FE series, which stands for ‘Fan Edition’, is typically a more affordable flagship from Samsung. Featuring a lot of the same features as the higher-end Galaxy S series, but at a lower price. Currently, the Galaxy S26 FE is slated to get some pretty nice upgrades this year. With 45W wired charging, an Exynos 2500 chipset, and a slightly redesigned camera bump.
However, the Galaxy S26 FE isn’t the only Samsung device slated to launch later this year. The Galaxy Tab S12 series is also slated to launch very soon, also likely at IFA. After all, the Galaxy Tab S11 was launched alongside the Galaxy S25 FE at IFA last year. There’s also the new smart glasses, that Samsung sort of announced at Unpacked last week. Those are said to launch later this Fall.
