A new mixed-use development is bringing hundreds of residential units and thousands of square feet of commercial space to a fast-growing suburban area in Wesley Chapel in Pasco County.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that Pomelo Square will have 325 apartments, 90 townhomes, over 42,000 square feet of retail space and a hotel.
Ryan Cos. will be the apartment and retail builder. Homebuilder PulteGroup will construct the 90 townhomes on the eastern portion of Pomelo Square. The plan includes nine eight-unit buildings and three six-unit buildings.
There will be six multifamily buildings ranging from 40 to 65 units. One outparcel, adjacent to a multifamily building, will have a 6,000-square-foot restaurant with 60 dedicated parking spaces. Another outparcel will offer 3,000 square feet for a drive-thru restaurant.
The project is anticipated to be completed in the first quarter of 2028. Alex Wright, managing director of Franklin Street, is representing the landlord.
