Following the update’s rollout to the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung’s June 2026 Android security update is now rolling out to the Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 as well.

The update’s rollout started in Korea, as per usual. It will spread to more markets in a matter of days, though, as is usually the case with Samsung’s updates. Be patient, though, as it is rolling out in stages, so even when it arrives in your region, it may take some time for it to appear on your phone.
Do note that the update is not only rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, but the Galaxy S25 Edge as well. The update weighs around 900MB, and it brings quite a few security fixes.
45 security fixes are included
This update delivers 45 security patches. 33 of those patches are provided by Google, while the remaining 12 come from Samsung. 11 of Samsung’s patches are provided by Samsung MX, while one comes from the Exynos division.
Out of the 33 fixes provided by Google, 5 are rated as ‘critical’, while 28 are rated as ‘high severity’. The fix that comes from Samsung’s Exynos division addresses a vulnerability affecting the DRM HDR driver.
It is also stated that most of the Samsung patches have arrived for devices that are running Android 14, Android 15, and Android 16. They are related to Smart Suggestions, Samsung Account, Samsung Cloud, Theme Manager, Settings-related components, and other One UI services.
You can manually check for an update by going to Settings -> Software update -> Download and install. Just because you do, however, doesn’t mean an update will be forced on your device. Your phone will let you know once the update is available.
