Samsung’s upcoming wide foldable and one of its smartwatches have seemingly been certified. The information comes from 91mobiles, as the certifications have been spotted on BIS, an Indian authority.
Two Samsung devices get certified, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, the company’s wide foldable, surfaced under the SM-F971B model number. The certification does not share any information about its specs, though, unfortunately.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 has seemingly surfaced as well, under the SM-L715F model number. Nothing else besides the model number has been mentioned, though.
Based on previously leaked information, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will feature a 7.6-inch main display, with a 4:3 aspect ratio. It will also feature a 50-megapixel main camera, along with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.
The device is tipped to feature a 4,800mAh battery and support 45W wired charging. It will also be very light for a book-style foldable, as it will weigh around 200 grams.
What about the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2? Well, rumors are claiming that it will pack an 800mAh battery, 5G connectivity, and utilize Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear Elite processor.
Both of these devices are expected to launch in July
Both of these devices are expected to become official during Samsung’s second Unpacked event of the year. That event is rumored to take place in July. To be more accurate, it’s rumored to take place on July 22, in London.
Samsung still did not confirm the date, though, so take that with a grain of salt. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will also arrive during that event, the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s direct successor. Samsung will have plenty to say during that event, that much is obvious.
