Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Tab S12 lineup, which will likely launch later this year, potentially around IFA in September. The Galaxy Tab S12+ has already leaked, showing that it’s going to have a slightly larger battery, compared to the Galaxy Tab S10+ (since Samsung skipped the Galaxy Tab S11+), but the same won’t be said about the Ultra.
According to a report out of GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is going to use the exact same battery as the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. It’s not only the same size, but even the same battery model number as the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
Additionally, Samsung is likely to stick with 45W USB-C charging once again, which is perfectly fine for a tablet, if we’re being honest. Of course, the faster 60W charging from the Galaxy S26 Ultra would be nice to see, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will feature a 14.6″ display
The Ultra model will once again be a huge tablet with a 14.6″ display. This will be a QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. And it’ll also have a dual-camera setup on the back with a 13-megapixel and an 8-megapixel camera included. The front will have a 12-megapixel camera for making those all-important Zoom calls.
It looks like once again, Samsung will be using a MediaTek chipset in the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. It’ll be the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 or possibly a 9500+ as we’ve seen in recent years. The timing is always very interesting, because this tablet typically launches within a month of MediaTek launching its new flagship chipset.
Samsung will also include 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with options for 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Also expect a price increase this year, with the RAMpocalypse happening right now.
