Anker SOLIX just announced a brand new product line during Anker Day. The S-Series’ first product out of the gate is the S2000. It’s a 2,010Wh power station built specifically for home backup, and Anker is making some pretty bold claims about it. Like, world’s longest-lasting 2kWh power station bold.
This includes 35 hours of continuous refrigerator backup on a single charge. That is mighty impressive, especially considering its size. The S2000 is TÜV SÜD A+ Runtime-certified, which is the highest rating for real-world power delivery you can get. And that matters more than the raw watt-hour number on the box.
What actually makes the S2000 different
Here’s the thing about backup power stations. Everyone talks about capacity, but capacity isn’t runtime. Idle drain and conversion loss eat into that number every single hour, even when you’re not actively pulling power. Anker built the SOLIX S2000 around proprietary OptiSave Technology that reduces idle power consumption by 40 to 70%, dropping it to under 6W. The industry standard is 10-20W. That’s how 2,010Wh turns into 35 hours of fridge backup instead of the usual 28-ish hours.
The internals include 314Ah LiFePO4 cells, good for up to 10,000 cycles. That’s a 15-year service life, which Anker says doubles the industry average. You also get 1,500W AC output with a 3,000W peak, integrated UPS, and 400W solar input that can fully recharge the thing in a single day of sun. AC fast charging hits 80 percent in 1.2 hours.
What I genuinely like about this thing is the form factor. It’s 8.19 x 11.1 x 12.7 inches, which is about 30% smaller than your average 2kWh unit. It’s actually closer in size to a 1kWh power station. The vertical design slides flush against a wall, and there are rear-facing AC outlets so you can hide it behind your fridge with the cables tucked away. Front ports stay open for phones and laptops. It’s smart industrial design from a brand that’s been iterating on this category for years.
Pricing is the biggest feature, though. Early-bird signups open today through June 1 at Ankersolix.com, and subscribers get a code to buy the S2000 for $599 on launch day, June 2. After that, the introductory price is $679.99, with an MSRP of $1,199.99. That’s a wild discount if you jump on the early bird, and it slots in nicely against the SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 and bigger units like the SOLIX E10 whole-home backup. If you’ve been thinking about adding a power station to your storm prep kit, this might be the one to watch.
