The Oura Ring 5 is set to debut next week, at least according to an internal document posted on Reddit. The document comes about two months after we released renders of the Oura Ring 5 (which Oura asked us to remove).
The internal document references pre-orders and the official launch of the Oura Ring 5. May 28 is set to be the official announcement date, and pre-orders will begin then. With members being able to pre-order the Oura Ring 5, and sizing kits being shipped out.
June 4 is when the official launch will happen. Though there’s no word on any bonuses or trade-in offers for existing users.

The Oura Ring 5 is smaller, and more comfortable
According to the marketing copy in this document, the Oura Ring 5 is “smaller and more comfortable” when compared to the Oura Ring 4. It also offers the same health-tracking capabilities and membership features.
It also references the charging case, which is size-specific. Something that some of Oura’s competitors have managed to get around is offering a one-size-fits-all charging case. The charging case can charge your ring about four times on a single charge. With battery life likely estimated at around a week’s worth of usage, that means you can travel with just the charging case and be perfectly fine.
There’s no word on pricing yet, but we would expect it to remain the same, or possibly go up by $50. Currently, the Oura Ring 4 starts at $349. Which is actually somewhat expensive for a smart ring, especially considering there is a subscription on top of it.
The new Ringconn Gen 3 was also just announced recently and starts at $349, which is a $50 price increase over Gen 2, which was released last year. However, Ringconn does not have a subscription, which makes it a sweeter deal than what Oura has.
