If you’re a Verizon customer eyeing the Motorola Razr Plus 2026, there’s one thing you need to know upfront: Verizon isn’t carrying it. And honestly, that’s a little frustrating, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Not even close.
Motorola decided to sell the Razr Plus 2026 exclusively unlocked this year or through AT&T, so you won’t find it in a Verizon store or on Verizon’s website. AT&T is the only major carrier actually selling it, with T-Mobile coming later in 2026. Verizon gets left out entirely. But here’s the good news: the unlocked Razr Plus 2026 is fully compatible with Verizon’s network. So you can buy it directly from Motorola’s website and pop in your SIM card or transfer your eSIM, no problem.
Can You Use the Motorola Razr Plus 2026 on Verizon?
Yes, absolutely. The unlocked Razr Plus 2026 works on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and most MVNOs without any issues. You’re just buying it yourself instead of through Big Red. The trade-off is that you won’t get Verizon’s carrier financing or trade-in deals on this specific model. Motorola does offer its own trade-in program, currently offering a $300 bonus trade-in credit that can bring the $1,099 price tag down considerably. They’re also bundling in a pair of Moto Buds Loop, which is a genuinely nice addition.
If Verizon carrier support is non-negotiable for you, the base Motorola Razr 2026 is your best bet — Verizon is officially carrying that one starting May 21. It’s also $300 cheaper at $799. And if budget really isn’t a concern, the Razr Ultra 2026 is also compatible with Verizon’s unlocked network, just like the Plus.
Verizon customers aren’t shut out of the Razr Plus 2026. You’ve just got to buy it the old-fashioned way. And that’s probably the better way to do it, avoiding late updates and Verizon bloatware.
