Google recently teased its new Gemini Intelligence for the Pixel 10 and Galaxy S26. However, new reports suggest it could debut first on Samsung’s upcoming foldables. A fresh report claims we will see this advanced Gemini Intelligence AI suite on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 this July.
That means the feature could debut on Samsung phones before Pixel devices, Seoul Economic Daily reports. This has happened before, though—the popular “Circle to Search” made its debut on the Galaxy S24.Â
What exactly is Gemini Intelligence?
Unlike standard chatbots, Gemini Intelligence acts as a system-wide layer designed to make Android a more proactive “intelligence system.” Instead of you jumping between apps, Gemini does the heavy lifting in the background.
Some of the standout features include:
- App Automation: Gemini can get information from your Gmail to schedule appointments or add products to a shopping cart in various apps.
- Rambler for Gboard: This tool polishes up your live speech by removing stammers and filler words while keeping your original meaning.
- Create My Widget: You can now build custom functional widgets for your home screen simply by describing what you need through a text prompt.
- Intelligent Autofill: The AI can get relevant data from your connected Google apps to help you fill out forms.
Coming soon to One UI 9
These features are set to be a core part of the Android 17-based One UI 9 update. Samsung is reportedly hosting its next Unpacked 2026 event on July 22. So, if true, the wait is almost over.
