Lenovo continues to be a household name in the business world with the announcement of its brand-new ThinkPad X13 laptop, a machine that was purpose-built for professionals who need to be mobile but also need a reliable workhorse. Lenovo is also announcing the new ThinkPad L14 and L16 models, as well as the ThinkStation P4 for those who primarily stick to the office but need something just as high performance-capable. These new machines add to Lenovo’s growing lineup for enterprise, some of which it announced during Mobile World Congress.
The company says the ThinkStation P4 is the “flagship combination of power and value for modern professionals.” This is a pretty spot-on statement based on the PC’s specs. Under the hood, the ThinkStation P4 is powered by an AMD Ryzen P9000 Pro series processor, and NVIDIA RTX 6000 Pro Series Blackwell GPUs for discrete graphics card options. Lenovo doesn’t mention a price point, but it says the price will be announced closer to the official launch date. It also has four expansion slots as well as support for PCIe Gen 5.0, making it a versatile machine that should last for a while.
Lenovo will launch the ThinkPad X13 this month, starting at $1,499
Lenovo may not have opened up about the price of the ThinkStation P4, and that’s understandable given that the PC isn’t near a launch date. It has said it would be generally available in June. The ThinkPads, however, have launch dates and prices. The ThinkPad X13 will launch in May at an estimated starting price of $1,499. The ThinkPad L14 and L16 will also launch in May, but with an estimated starting price of $1,439, making them a bit less expensive.
As for specs and features, one of the main focuses of something like the ThinkPad X13 is its capability to deliver highly mobile performance backed by the power of AI. Lenovo says all three laptops are designed to promote more efficient and intelligent ways of working. They feature Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors as well as AMD Ryzen AI Pro 400 Series options. Plus, you’re looking at up to 64GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage in some configurations. Lenovo is also sticking to its roots by continuing to support user-replaceable parts like the battery, SSD, WWAN module, and the D cover.
