Lenovo is preparing for its unveiling of the Legion Y70 2026 gaming phone that’s coming up, and it’s taken the time to tease a few features and specs ahead of the official launch. Not wanting to leave interested parties hanging, Lenovo took to its social accounts to toss out a few pieces of information to get gamers more hyped up for the reveal.
The Lenovo Legion Y70 2026 was leaked a few times prior to Lenovo acknowledging the phone’s existence. It popped up during an event in China and was spotted being held in-hand and shown off by someone working at the event. Now that the phone has been confirmed by Lenovo, the company is happy to share more information about what this phone is going to offer. That being said, Lenovo isn’t spilling its guts here. It’s merely giving the public a taste of what’s going to be on offer.
The Lenovo Legion Y70 2026 features include the almost blinding display brightness
Most smartphones come with displays that are bright enough. In other words they’re going to provide what most people likely need. Some stand out with higher than average peak brightness levels. Then there’s the Lenovo Legion Y70 2026, sporting Lenovo’s ‘Q10 display.’ According to the company’s teaser (via Notebookcheck), the new Legion Y70 will come with a peak brightness of 7,000 nits.
To put things in perspective a little more, that’s only a few thousands nits below the incredibly bright TCL X11L TV that comes with a peak brightness of 10,000 nits. Keep in mind, it’s a TV. This is a phone. Granted the display probably won’t get to 7,000 nits in most situations, but it’s likely to get much higher than any other phone on the market.
In addition to the display brightness, Lenovo states the phone will come with a display size of 6.82 inches, and it’ll have a 2K resolution. As for the chipset, it’ll be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 as opposed to the Elite Gen 5 model. So, it’ll be slightly less powerful than phones with the Elite, but still very capable nonetheless. It’s also said to come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with a price around CNY 3,999.
