Spotify has introduced a new functionality that allows users to save AI agent-created audio briefings called Personal Podcasts to their library. The audio streaming platform is changing how users hear AI-generated audio content using the new feature. The AI agent can create a daily briefing, private to users. Then it can save it alongside everything else in their Spotify library.
You can use your AI agent to create and save a personal podcast to Spotify
Spotify mentioned that you can utilize AI agents like OpenAI Codex, OpenClaw, or Claude Code to create custom audio. For example, you can ask the AI agent to read notes and generate a study guide. You can also turn your daily digest or weekend itinerary into a Personal Podcast and save it directly to your Spotify library.
Since the library syncs across devices, you can create an itinerary on your notebook and listen to it on your smartphone or tablet. The new feature follows a recent update, which allowed users to ask Claude for music recommendations.
You’ll need the command-line tool to start syncing new audio
To start using Personal Podcasts, open the Save to Spotify CLI GitHub page on your PC. Then install the tool on your computer and follow the setup process, which requires logging into your account via a browser. Once you connect, ask your desktop artificial intelligence agent to generate audio with text prompts and save it to the platform.
You can now open the link provided to listen from Your Library on Spotify. The feature is available globally for free and premium Spotify users. Notably, the platform mentioned that this feature is currently in beta, so it will apply usage limits while testing and gathering feedback. Spotify will continue improving this experience as it learns from listeners and their feedback.
