If you’re a Verizon customer who’s been waiting to jump into the book-style foldable game, I’ve got good news. Motorola’s brand new Razr Fold 2026 is coming to Verizon, making it one of the few carriers that’ll actually stock Motorola’s first crack at the form factor. But Motorola does list it as being available on Verizon “in the coming months,” so if you want it right away, you’ll need to buy it unlocked.
For Verizon postpaid customers, you’ll be able to walk into a store, hop on Verizon’s website, or order through the Verizon app to grab the Razr Fold 2026. Expect the usual Verizon promos, trade-in offers, and installment plans to be available at launch. Verizon typically goes pretty hard on foldable promos, so keep an eye out for trade-in deals that could knock a serious chunk off the $1,899 price tag.
Prefer Going Unlocked? You’ve Got Options
If you’d rather skip the carrier route, the Motorola Razr Fold 2026 will also be available unlocked through Amazon, Best Buy, and motorola.com. Buying unlocked has its perks, including no carrier bloatware, faster software updates, and you can swap to another carrier down the road without any headaches. Just pop in your Verizon SIM (or activate the eSIM), and you’re good to go on Big Red’s network.
The unlocked version is the same hardware as the carrier version, so you’re not missing out on anything spec-wise. The Razr Fold 2026 specs include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 16GB of RAM, the massive 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, and that gorgeous 8.1-inch inner display.
Whichever route you pick, the Razr Fold 2026 is shaping up to be a legitimate competitor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It snagged our Best of MWC 2026 award for a reason, and Verizon customers finally getting in on a Motorola foldable is genuinely exciting. Pre-orders open May 14, with the device officially hitting shelves on May 21.
