Today, L’Atitude 52°N announced its enhanced Departure Collection, which adds a new style to its lineup. Now, customers have a choice between BERLIN and MILAN. The MILAN style will be available in the second quarter of 2026.
L’Atitude 52°N is also announcing that they’ve received the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026 for both its smart glasses and the Intercom Strap. “The Departure Collection sets a new standard for wearable technology, combining comfort, intelligence, and style in a single device to empower users to explore the world with greater confidence and ease”, says Gary Chen, CEO of L’Atitude 52°N.
These smart glasses are very similar to what Meta offers with its Ray-Ban and Oakley models, but it does have some pretty big upgrades. I went hands-on with the L’Atitude 52°N at CES back in January, and saw some side-by-side photo comparisons, and I was truly amazed. The camera is smaller, but somehow much better than what Meta has shipped.
The camera features a 107-degree field of view and uses the Sony IMX681 sensor. That’s a 12-megapixel camera that allows you to record 1080p video, and you can take photos and video in either landscape or portrait orientation. Like with other smart glasses, there is a privacy LED that will light up during photo or video capture, so others around you will know you’re recording them.
These also feature incredible audio quality, especially considering the fact they are using speakers above your ears and not actual earbuds. There’s also live translation and AI assistance. L’Atitude 52°N is using its own Goya AI Assistant, which can streamline everyday tasks and travel. Allowing you to plan trips, find attractions, and even translate things in other countries.
The L’Atitude 52°N pre-orders open May 19
The company says that pre-orders for the BERLIN model will open on May 19, and start shipping on May 26 for the US, UK, and Europe. While the MILAN model will launch in Q2 2026.
L’Atitude 52°N is also giving buyers a limited-time $100 voicher on their website, from May 19 through June 2026. And for the MILAN model, you’ll need to pay $1 to unlock the $100 voucher from May 26.
The pricing starts at $399 in the US, €399 in Europe, and £349 in the UK. You can add 50 in each currency for the photochromic lens option.
