The Samsung Galaxy Buds Able will be the next pair of true wireless earbuds coming from Samsung, featuring a design that has just leaked via the company’s One UI firmware. The Galaxy Buds Able are likely to launch sometime later this year, and based on today’s leak it looks like they’ll be ditching a familiar design detail that many have come to know from Samsung’s earbuds.
There is still a lot of unknown details about these upcoming earbuds but it’s expected that information will continue to trickle out as it gets closer to Samsung’s plans for a release date. As of right now, the only thing that is know, other than these newly leaked design details, is the Galaxy Buds Able name. But now there’s an idea of what these actually look like.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Able leaked design reveals them to be a clip-style earbud
Clip-style earbuds aren’t brand-new but they’re also not what people are used to seeing from most brands. Samsung, for one, has never made a clip-style true wireless earbud. That is, until the Galaxy Buds Able, it would seem. Reports indicate from leaked images found within the One UI firmware that the Galaxy Buds Able will feature a clip-style design.
Granted, the leaked images found within the firmware show just the shape of the design, likely an icon of the earbuds style that will show up in some apps. You can clearly tell that these have a clip-style design though. The connector piece that looks like the ring portion of a hoop earring connects the two slightly round pieces on each end, one of which is presumably the part that feeds you the audio. This will be a fairly big departure from Samsung’s usual designs that feature an actual in-ear set of drivers, like with the Galaxy Buds4 Pro.
The leak also mentions that these will use bone conduction technology instead of the typical driver tech in most earbuds. So that could be a big change as well.
