The thing is, OnePlus detailed its April 2026 Android update at the beginning of April, and there are some other changes baked into it. This update improves the position of the speed control button for videos in the Photos app. You can now directly tap it while watching videos.
This update improves system stability in general
The other entry in the changelog says that this update improves system stability in general. So OnePlus did tweak a number of things under the hood to make the OS even more stable.
The April 2026 Android patch from OnePlus is coming to a ton of devices from the company. It started rolling out on April 8, and it’s now finally reaching global OnePlus 15 devices.
The OnePlus 15, as many of you know, is still the company’s flagship. It was announced back in October 2025 in China, while the global launch followed about a month after that.
Rumors surrounding OnePlus’ future in markets outside of China and India are in doubt, following several reports and some layoffs that followed.
