Most of the time, for folks who have a relatively small budget for a new-to-them car, performance-oriented models are out of the question. Of course, you can always try to find some 200,000-mile 2005 Honda Civic Si for around $5k, but at that point in the car’s life, it could very well be on its last legs. So, that means you’ll probably have to settle for something like an ’07 Ford Focus S with no options, let alone power.
