Samsung just launched the Galaxy Tab A11+ Kids Edition. As its name suggests, it is a special version of the current Galaxy Tab A11+ tailored for the little ones in the house. While many children’s devices become obsolete within a year or two, this new tablet promises up to seven years of Android OS and security updates.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ Kids Edition: Key specs & price
The hardware under the hood is a carbon copy of the standard Galaxy Tab A11+. To start, it features an 11-inch display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate with 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. This is enough for educational apps and multimedia. Families will also appreciate the quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support with an immersive effect.
Samsung has priced this edition at $349.99, which is a $100 premium over the base model. This extra cost covers a suite of software tools and physical extras designed for younger users. For instance, there are built-in parental controls for quick management of screen time and app approvals.
Beyond the software, the box includes several kid-focused accessories that add immediate value. Parents will find a shock-absorbent, colorful protective case and a unique Crayo-pen stylus. The chunky case promise to handle drops and bumps. On the other hand, this stylus is shaped like a crayon to fit smaller hands and comes with a tether to prevent it from being misplaced during busy play sessions. Stickers are also included so children can personalize their new gadget.
Powering the experience is a 7,040mAh battery that provides roughly 15 hours of video playback. When the battery runs low, the tablet supports 25W wired charging. Storage starts at 128GB, but the inclusion of a microSD slot allows parents to expand that space up to 2TB as the child’s library of games and school projects grows over the years.
Availability
According to Samsung’s official blog, the goal of this tablet is to provide a worry-free experience that scales with the child. The Galaxy Tab A11 Plus Kids Edition is available now at Samsung and Best Buy, with Amazon sales starting April 23, 2026.
