Besides the Find X9 Ultra, OPPO will also launch the Pad Mini and Pad 5 Pro on April 21st. The former is the company’s compact offering, while the latter is a performance beast. Ahead of the unveiling, the company has been posting multiple teasers on Weibo, revealing their key hardware details, like the chipset, battery, and more.
OPPO Pad 5 Pro and Pad Mini’s launch date is April 21st
Starting off with the OPPO Pad 5 Pro, it’ll sport a large 13.2-inch 3.4K LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. The tablet will rock a massive 13,380mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. But most importantly, it will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, currently the best out there for the Android side of things. It is claimed to have achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of 4.47 million.
The tablet will measure 5.94mm in thickness and will weigh 672 grams. The teaser images confirm that it will have support for a keyboard case with a trackpad and backlit keys. However, this will be sold separately. Furthermore, it will feature eight speakers for an immersive audio experience while watching movies or playing games.
The design of the OPPO Pad 5 Pro is quite familiar. You get a large screen on the front with narrow bezels. There’s a pill-shaped module on the top-left corner of the backplate to accommodate the main camera and an LED flash. One of the teaser images also highlights a stylus.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and an 8.8-inch OLED display
On the other hand, the OPPO Pad Mini will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, sitting slightly below the OPPO Pad 5 Pro. The tablet apparently scored 3.21 million points in AnTuTu. It will have an 8.8-inch 2.5K OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2.99mm ultra-narrow bezels. The tablet will pack an 8,000mAh battery. But the fast charging details are not out yet.
This, too, will get a stylus pen support. The tablet will reportedly have two versions: one regular one, and the other will be the “Bright Eye” Soft Light Variant. The OPPO Pad Mini will measure 5.39mm (regular)/ 5.46mm (Soft Light Version) in thickness and weigh 279 grams. The teaser images show the tablet in a purple shade, but there will be more options at launch.
