Samsung has finally announced its Micro RGB TV lineup for 2026, which has expanded from its 2025 offerings. Samsung is now bringing Micro RGB to a much wider range of sizes, going from 55″ up to 115″. This makes it a lot more accessible for high-end buyers.
Samsung’s Micro RGB technology is essentially a major evolution over its Mini LED technology. But instead of using a white or blue backlight, these TVs use microscopic red, green, and blue LEDs, each under 100 micrometers, to produce colors more accurately. This ends up providing a much more precise color control, improved brightness, and better overall picture accuracy.
With this year’s Micro RGB TVs, Samsung is also leaning heavily into the color performance. Samsung says these panels can hit 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut. This measurement is the gold standard for color accuracy in most modern displays. Samsung is also pairing this with its “Micro RGB Precision Color,” which ensures that what you’re seeing on the screen is as close to real life as possible.
Samsung didn’t forget about the newest buzzword either – AI. Samsung is using AI-driven processing, which is able to analyze content in real time to optimize picture quality, contrast, and motion. This is combined with glare-free technology and improved brightness.
Samsung’s R85H Micro RGB TV starts at $1,599
Samsung has two models for the 2026 model year, which are the R85H and the higher-end R95H. The R85H is available in 55″, 65″, 75″, and 85″ sizes, while the R95H ditches the 55″ model, and last year’s R95F is sticking around in the 115-inch size at $29,999.
Pricing for Samsung’s Micro RGB TVs starts at $1,599. That’s only $300 more than the Hisense U7SG, which I just reviewed, for the same size, too.
Samsung R85H
