OPPO is believed to be working on two new Android tablets, the OPPO Pad 5 Pro and the OPPO Pad Mini. While the former will be a flagship model with a 13.2-inch display and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, the latter will be a compact offering. Now, a reliable tipster on Weibo has shed light on the OPPO Pad Mini specs, including its display, dimensions, and more.
OPPO Pad Mini display details surface in a new leak
Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has revealed some key details of the OPPO Pad Mini. According to him, the OPPO Pad Mini will flaunt an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will apparently use a 3:2 aspect ratio. The tablet may feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, sitting a step below the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It is still powerful enough to handle your day-to-day tasks and gaming needs.
The tipster adds that the OPPO Pad Mini will rock an 8,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It will be 5.39 mm thick and weigh 279 grams. This makes it thinner and lighter than Lenovo’s latest Legion Tab Gen 5 compact tablet. To recall, it measures 7.59 mm thick and weighs 360 grams.
8,000mAh battery, 67W fast charging, and eSIM support
Lastly, Digital Chat Station claims the OPPO Pad Mini will come with eSIM connectivity. While that’s about it for this new leak, a previous leak revealed the tablet may get a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP lens on the front. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of its global launch. For what it’s worth, OPPO tablets do tend to expand to select global markets. But with the OPPO Pad Mini, we won’t know for sure if it’ll debut in markets outside of China until it actually does.
In the meantime, OPPO Find X9 Ultra will launch in global regions on April 21st. This is the company’s premium camera beast with dual 200MP cameras and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. It’s coming to take on flagships like the iPhone 17 Pro Max, Galaxy S26 Ultra, and others.
