A new Google Pixel 10a color has just been announced, but you probably won’t be able to buy it. Confused? Well, this color launched in a single market, so unless you live in Japan, you’re out of luck.
The ‘Isai Blue’ Google Pixel 10a has arrived
The model in question is the ‘Isai Blue’ Pixel 10a. This is actually the initial launch of the Pixel 10a in Japan, despite the fact that Pixel phones are quite popular there. As many of you know, the Pixel 10a reached consumers all over the globe about a month ago.
This special ‘Isai Blue’ colorway is exclusive to Japan, and it is now available to pre-order there. It is a very deep blue color, almost navy blue, actually. That goes against Google’s current washed out pallete of colors, which is a nice contrast.
Google says that it picked this color with HERALBONY, a “creative company that works with artists with disabilities to create new culture.” This was done to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Google Pixel and “to express our deep gratitude to our loyal Pixel users in Japan,” said Google.
This variant comes bundled with an exclusive bumper case that “highlights the beautiful flat back, as well as original stickers.” Google also included a unique wallpaper here, created by a Hearlbony-contracted artist, and an original theme pack.
It is available in one country with 256GB of storage
The ‘Isai Blue’ Pixel 10a comes with 256GB storage, there are no other storage options available. It will ship on May 20 to users in Japan. As far as we know, that’s the only market it will become available in.
Google did, however, launch the regular models in the region as well. That includes Berry, Fog, Lavender, and Obsidian color variants of the Pixel 10a, the ones we’ve seen in other markets already.
The Google Pixel 10a phone starts at ¥79,900 ($500) in Japan, though Google offers some trade-ins via Google Store, through April 27, in case you’re interested. Our Google Pixel 10a review is available, in case you need more information.
