Weeks after the former Showcase Cinema de Lux in Randolph closed its doors, Atlantic Capital Partners arranged the $9-million sale of 73 Mazzeo Dr., the site of the longtime cinema operation. The asset spans 112,265 square feet on a 13.48-acre site, located within minutes of the I-93 and Route 24 interchange.
The transaction was led by Justin Smith, Head of Capital Markets; David Smookler, Partner; Peter Considine, Partner; Danielle Turpin, Senior Associate; and Matt Austin, Senior Analyst. Atlantic exclusively represented the seller in the transaction and secured the undisclosed buyer.
The site’s access and positioning allow ownership with multiple paths forward to reimagine the site. The three-level theatre had operated since 1997 with 16 screens that accommodate 2,240 seats. Smookler said, “For years, the seller operated a highly successful movie theatre chain throughout the region with Randolph serving as one of the chain’s most productive sites in all of New England.”
