Huawei is reportedly working on its second-gen Pura-series foldable phone, presumably the Pura X2. The Huawei handset may bring some notable hardware upgrades over its predecessor. A new leak coming out of Weibo now suggests that improvements won’t be limited to just the hardware; design will also see some significant upgrades. The Huawei Pura X2 foldable may arrive with ultra-slim bezels.
Huawei Pura X2 foldable may feature ultra-thin bezels
Tipster @DirectorShiGuan on Weibo, without explicitly mentioning the name, says the foldable will feature a wide folding shape and size to make it more practical. The Huawei foldable, speculated to be the Pura X2, will reportedly feature a wider display with ultra-thin bezels on both top and bottom. This should offer more screen area to consume content or even play games.
The leak further says that this will enhance the overall aesthetics of the phone. Narrow bezels should give the clamshell foldable a more modern look, maximizing the screen-to-body ratio. That said, the tipster hasn’t given out any specs at the moment, like its display size or dimensions.

Launch date not out yet
It’s not clear when the second-generation Huawei Pura foldable will debut. As a refresher, the original Huawei Pura X went official in March 2025. It features a 6.3-inch display with a unique 16:10 aspect ratio. It also has a 3.5-inch outer screen with a 1:1 aspect ratio. Chances are that the successor may also stick to the same aspect ratio, or perhaps fine-tune it.
Huawei Pura X2, if that’s what it will indeed be called, may rock a large 6,000mAh battery. This is a jump from a 4,720mAh battery on the predecessor. This should result in improved battery life. Leaks on the web claim the Huawei Pura X2 may arrive with some serious camera upgrades, specifically with new color recognition and staining capabilities. Since these are just leaks and not confirmed by the brand, we suggest you take them with a pinch of salt.
