In addition to bringing a truly powerful camera setup to the table, the Vivo X300 Ultra will also include a considerable upgrade to audio quality, it seems. This is yet another official piece of information, by the way.
The Vivo X300 Ultra looks set to bring major audio upgrades
Vivo’s Han Boxiao went to Weibo to share the information with everyone. He teased improvements to audio capture and audio reproduction. The first improvement has to do with how the phone uses its four available microphones. They’ll combine spatial recording with noise reduction and AI to isolate voices and enhance sound recording.
Han Boxiao also shared a screenshot from the Vivo X300 Ultra’s new camera app, which is shown below. The phone will be able to capture audio directionally, tune recording to the phone’s front or back, have noise reduction (from 0 to 100%), and even gain adjustment (from -100 to 100).

Furthermore, the Vivo X300 Ultra is also getting a bigger and smarter top speaker. It will be nearly 3 times larger with a cavity of 0.8cc. We’re looking at a physical increase in size of 167%, says the company.
A larger speaker cavity is coming, plus a better amplifier
Regular flagship phones usually come with 0.3cc to 0.5cc speaker cavities. The camera module, which is always placed up top, doesn’t leave much space for speaker cavities, which is why this is the case.
Vivo says that it also boosted the amplifier by 20%. That will result in a nearly 4dB improvement in the lower (bass) frequencies around 300Hz. You can also expect a wider high frequency, improved by 3kHz. The top response could extend from 17kHz to 20kHz.

The company had to rework the entire upper right side of the phone in order to serve as a speaker enclosure, in order to make this happen. Vivo also moved the speaker’s cavity cover “to the bracket.”
The Vivo X300 Ultra is getting a global variant as well
The Vivo X300 Ultra is coming to global markets as well, by the way, but we’re still not sure when. March 30 is rumored as a launch date, but Vivo hasn’t confirmed that. It will have Sony’s best camera sensor as its main camera, and also quite impressive periscope telephoto and ultrawide cameras.
