Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra has been put through a drop test to see how it stands up to the harshness of concrete, because let’s face it, there are tons of people out there who will never put a case on the phone and are bound to drop their brand-new device.
It doesn’t matter how expensive the phone is; there will always be some consumers who refuse to protect their device. That’s completely understandable, too. A lot of phones these days look amazing. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is one of these devices. It looks great without a case. So, it probably feels like you’re taking away from that by slapping a case on it. Even if it is for a good reason. Taking that into consideration, it’s good to know if the Galaxy S26 Ultra can survive a drop test.
Galaxy S26 Ultra drop test results in broken glass and painful frame damage
If you’re one of the people who plan to buy a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra but don’t plan to buy one of the Best Galaxy S26 Ultra cases to protect it, then this drop test video is for you. So you’ll know what dropping the phone on concrete is likely to do to the device. Coming from the YouTube Channel PBKreviews, the drop test aims to show how the phone performs after a few drops on the ground.
The phone is dropped from different angles, front and back, to test the durability. Luckily, at least in this case, the phone survives and is able to operate without issue. There is most certainly some damage. The glass on one of the main camera sensors cracks and then breaks completely after another drop. There are several scuffs, as well as deep scrapes and gouges in parts of the phone’s frame. Samsung switched to Aluminum from the Titanium used on last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra. There’s even a little damage to the S Pen, though it still fits back in place, and presumably works. Miraculously, however, the screen is undamaged and works fine. The back also appears to be undamaged.
This is good news for users who plan to get this phone and use it without a case. However, it’s also worth keeping in mind that if you drop it, there’s no telling if the results will be the same here.
