Subaru’s first front-wheel-drive vehicle in nearly three decades has a fairly unfitting name. After all, would you want to venture into uncharted territory if you didn’t have the confidence of all-wheel-drive traction? Maybe, then, the subcompact electric crossover’s moniker references something else, like perhaps the company’s first-ever foray into that segment. Whatever the reasoning behind the hyperbolic name, the 2026 Subaru Uncharted actually shakes out to be a pretty awesome little EV – unsurprising since it shares most of its dirty bits with the likewise-competent Toyota C-HR.
