The Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro release date is March 11, 2026. They were announced at Unpacked on February 25, 2026, alongside the Galaxy Buds 4, Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. With pre-orders opening that same day.
Samsung will likely continue to sell the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, though the Galaxy Buds 3 have been out of stock for quite some time.
Samsung didn’t skimp on audio quality with the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. They support 24-bit/96KHz Hi-Fi Audio, which means what you hear is meant to be as close to the original recording as possible, no artificial coloring or compression artifacts muddying up your music. That’s made possible by a redesigned driver setup featuring a wider woofer and tweeter configuration. The woofer alone boasts a surface area roughly 20% larger than last year’s model, which is an impressive feat considering Samsung somehow managed to fit bigger speakers into a smaller earbud chassis. The result is a noticeably improved low end with punchier, more defined bass, while the tweeter keeps the high frequencies crisp and detailed.
If you’re a gym-goer, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro have you covered there, too. They carry an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance, meaning they can handle sweat, splashes, and the occasional accidental sink encounter without breaking a sweat themselves. It’s also worth noting that if you’re deciding between the Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro specifically for workout use, the Pro model is the clear winner; the standard Galaxy Buds 4 only comes with an IP54 rating.
Finally, on the battery front, don’t expect any dramatic changes from the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and honestly, that’s fine. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro still offer 6 hours of continuous playback with Active Noise Cancellation enabled, or 7 hours with ANC switched off. Toss in the charging case – which Samsung is now referring to as a “cradle,” if you want to use their terminology – and you’re looking at around 26 hours total with ANC on, or up to 30 hours without it. That’s plenty of juice to get you through a full workday and then some.
