Samsung has started rolling out the February 2026 security patch to its Galaxy smartphones. This brings fixes to 37 vulnerabilities, of which 25 are Android-level fixes from Google and 12 are Samsung-specific patches for One UI. After the Galaxy S25 series and foldable, the February 2026 update is now reaching the Galaxy S24 FE.
Galaxy S24 FE is receiving the February 2026 update
As usual, Samsung is rolling out the update in Korea first, and it has the firmware version S721NKSSACZB2. We expect it to expand to more regions in the coming days. Samsung usually rolls out the security update first to the regular Galaxy S24 models, like the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, and then to the Galaxy S24 FE. However, this time, the Galaxy 24 FE is getting it first.
As the name suggests, this isn’t your fancy update that brings new features. Instead, it focuses on crucial security issues present in the previous version of the OS. These improvements target the Dialer and Settings to prevent any unauthorized local access. The update refines Galaxy devices’ biometric security, both facial and fingerprint authentication.Â
Should expand to more regions shortly
You can check for the February 2026 security update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Speaking of updates, One UI 8.5 is the next major update from Samsung, and this will bring new features and improvements. The stable version of this new version will debut with the Galaxy S26 series on February 25th, i.e., tomorrow. Once it does, Samsung will roll it out to all eligible models, including the Galaxy S24 FE, in batches as per schedule.
