From the factory, the 1967 C10 topped out at around 220 hp, a far cry from what lives under this hood today. The original powertrain has been replaced by a 416 cubic-inch (6.8-liter) LS3 V8, the same engine found in the C6 Corvette. But that’s not all. This C10’s LS3 has two turbochargers attached to it, and thanks to its forged internals, is capable of supporting up to 1,200 horsepower. Cooling and fueling upgrades throughout ensure the engine can handle serious abuse without breaking a sweat. That power is sent through a built 4L80E 4-speed automatic transmission with a high-stall converter, backed by a fortified rear end with performance gearing and heavy-duty axles. In other words, this vintage pickup has been transformed from a runaround workhorse to a street-legal drag weapon.
