According to a new report, not even Samsung’s chief may be able to stop the Galaxy S26 series’ price hike. A report comes from Chosun, a Korean outlet.
Not even a Samsung chief will be able to stop the Galaxy S26 price increase, it seems
Samsung’s President and Head of the Mobile Experience (MX) Business, Roh Tae-Moon, stopped the Galaxy S25 series price hike at the last moment last year. He, allegedly, won’t be able to do the same thing for the Galaxy S26 series.
Why is that? Well, the memory prices have gone up quite a bit, as you probably already know. That is the main reason why the prices will get a bump this time around. Samsung may end up offering double storage benefits to appease users, though.
Considering that Apple is allegedly on track to keep the iPhone 18 series on the same level as the iPhone 17 series price-wise, this is kind of worrying for Samsung. Nothing is set in stone just yet; these are just reports, of course.
The three devices will launch on February 25
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series, by the way, is set to become official on February 25. Samsung confirmed its first Unpacked event for that date, and three Galaxy S26 smartphones are coming.
The Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra will become official. We’ve revealed their design and specs not long ago, following which a ton of official renders surfaced online, showing the phones in various colors.
It’s not a surprise that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the most interesting of the three phones. It will deliver a Privacy Display feature, which Samsung is advertising quite heavily. That will be its prime feature addition, it seems.
All three phones will not only look very similar to their predecessors, but will also have very similar internals. Samsung opted not to do a huge revamp yet again.
