CapRock Partners Management is looking to break ground this spring on a $30 million speculative industrial park near McKinney National Airport. The company hopes to capitalize on recent activity at the DFW-area airport. It has inked a deal with one airline and is in talks with a handful more. The airport is in the midst of a major expansion, with construction advancing on a 46,000-square-foot commercial terminal that is expected to open this fall. By 2031, the expanded airport could serve up to 1 million passengers a year.
The warehouse project will include two industrial buildings totaling about 250,000 square feet on a 15-acre site.
Fort Worth-based Muckleroy & Falls is the general contractor. CapRock Partners purchased the property last summer.
McKinney Air Business Park is designed to accommodate a range of users, from tenants seeking as little as 20,000 square feet to a single occupant wanting nearly 140,000 square feet.
